VISIT AN ETHICAL SANCTUARY
Elephant Nature Park
Elephant Nature Park (ENP) is an elephant rescue and rehabilitation centre in Northern Thailand, founded by renowned elephant rights advocate, Lek Chailert. It is the first elephant sanctuary of its kind established in Asia and currently provides a caring home to over 120 elephants. Many of the elephants living in the sanctuary of ENP have been rescued from street begging, elephant riding, and circus shows, where they often sustained both physical and psychological injuries. The park’s herds include blind, crippled, orphaned, and senior elephants who are now free to live a peaceful life in natural surroundings, where they are loved and respected.
Elephant Nature Park offers half day tours, full day tours as well as overnight with full board accommodation to stay close to the elephants at the park. And volunteer opportunities are also available to become part of the caring team helping with the feeding and various manual efforts required to support the elephants at the park.

Journey to Freedom
Journey to Freedom is a unique elephant sanctuary home to a herd of five elephants in the remote jungles of Northern Thailand. Located in a Karen farming village, this project offers an amazing adventure.
After the 1989 ban on logging, the Karen saw no other choice but to lease their elephants to trekking camps where they were often mistreated and overworked giving rides and performing, leading to physical and psychological injuries. Journey to Freedom was created to make it possible for the Karen to bring their elephants home to live in the jungle near their village where they can enjoy socializing with each other, foraging on native plants, and live a more natural existence.

Elephant Sanctuary Laos
Supported by Save Elephant Foundation, Elephant Sanctuary Laos was set up in early 2020.
The sanctuary is located in a very remote forested area about 2 hours from Luang Prabang and is intersected by a river, providing plenty of space for the elephants to wander, forage, and swim. Among other permanent residents are animals rescued from slaughter, including 20 cows, 27 goats, 4 rabbits, 27 chickens, 60 ducks, 2 geese and 3 turkeys. There are also 10 dogs and 21 cats who found a loving home at the sanctuary as well as 4 monkeys and 14 tortoises! And to make sure that they are all well looked after, there is a small team of dedicated people working hard day after day, caring for all the animals.

Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary
Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary is a joint project with Save Elephant Foundation that spans 32,000 acres on the edge of the Kulen Promtep Wildlife Sanctuary, north of Angkor Wat. The sanctuary provides a peaceful home in nature to three rescued elephants, including two females, and a bull elephant.
