NamThip
Only 13-years-old, NamThip has led a nomadic life her mahout as a beggar on the streets of Thailand after being separated from her mother as a child. Her distressing journey gained attention from Thai animal lovers when an unfortunate incident occurred in Suphanburi Province. Subsequently, she faced severe punishment and suffered from inadequate care, resulting in emaciation that aged her beyond her years.
After being rescued, NamThip has thrived in her new life of freedom at ENP. She loves to play in the water and enjoy the time she is now allowed to have for herself. She has a healthy appetite and has already started gaining weight. We hope that she has a quick recover back to health through the love and care of sanctuary.
Thank you to our friends at Center for a Humane Economy for providing the funds needed to rescue NamThip.
