Sopa was exploited by humans her whole life, moving from the logging industry into trekking where she was used for forced breeding.
Before being rescued, her health was in decline and Lek stepped in for an urgent intervention to bring her to ENP. The Trunks Up herd was able to raise the funds needed for her rescue in only a few days, ensuring she will never work another day in her life.
Sopa can finally have the freedom to be an elephant again!
